This beautiful golden calcite specimen comes from the basalt-rich region of Jalna in Maharashtra, India. Known for its warm golden to honey-yellow tones and well-formed crystal structure, golden calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral (CaCO₃) that forms in cavities of volcanic rock through secondary mineralization.
The crystals often appear as scalenohedral (dog-tooth) or rhombohedral forms with a translucent to transparent appearance.
