This is a classic type locality example of light green Apophyllite which was found in the city of Lonavala which lies between the two important cities of Maharashtra namely Mumbai (Bombay) and Pune (Poona) Lonavala has been an important location for various zeolites such as green apocalypse , natural light gyrolite, and many other beautiful zeolite specimens. The quarries around Lonavala have been operational since the 1960s.
