A Zarafasaura tooth is a fossil from an elasmosaurid marine reptile that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 66–72 million years ago.
Zarafasaura belonged to the long-necked plesiosaurs and inhabited ancient seas. Its teeth are typically slender, slightly curved, and sharply pointed, often showing fine natural ridges along the surface. This shape was adapted for catching and holding fish and other marine prey.
Most specimens are found in the phosphate deposits of Morocco and display natural brown, gray, or dark coloration due to mineralization over millions of years.
