Botryoidal Chalcedony is a natural variety of chalcedony distinguished by its rounded, grape-like formations and smooth, waxy luster. Specimens from Madagascar are known for their attractive botryoidal surfaces, ranging from translucent white and grey to soft blue and cream tones.
Composed of silicon dioxide (SiO₂), it has a hardness of 6.5–7 on the Mohs scale, making it durable for display, carving, and decorative use. The unique botryoidal growth gives each specimen a distinctive natural appearance.
