Galena is a lead sulfide mineral renowned for its bright metallic luster, silver-grey color, and distinctive cubic crystal formations. Specimens from the Sweetwater Mine, Reynolds County, Missouri, USA are highly prized for their sharp, well-developed cubic crystals, exceptional metallic brilliance, and association with minerals such as sphalerite, chalcopyrite, and dolomite.
