Sericho Pallasite Meteorite
The Sericho Pallasite Meteorite is a rare and visually striking meteorite known for its beautiful olivine (peridot) crystals embedded in a metallic iron–nickel matrix. Pallasites are among the most sought-after meteorites in the world due to their exceptional appearance and scientific significance.
This meteorite originates from the Sericho area in Isiolo County, Kenya (East Africa), where large quantities were discovered beginning in 2016. Scientific studies suggest that Sericho pallasites formed at the boundary between the metallic core and silicate mantle of a differentiated asteroid, offering a unique glimpse into the early formation of our solar system.
